Sports Commentary
Helping audiences experience sport.
Live commentary that recognises the performance, reveals the story and makes every participant feel part of something that matters.
More than a result
Information becomes connection.
I use timing data, course knowledge and careful observation to tell the audience what is happening—and why it matters.
My commentary spans road running, triathlon, open-water swimming, stadium sport and endurance events. I prepare thoroughly, work naturally with production and timing teams, and adapt as the live event unfolds.
Names matter. Personal milestones matter. The athlete leading the race and the participant completing their own challenge both contribute to the gathering. My role is to recognise that contribution and carry it to the audience.
- Live race commentaryClear, informed coverage from start line to final finisher.
- Finish-line interviewsWarm, spontaneous conversations that let personalities and emotions emerge.
- Stadium and event presentingConfident announcements, audience information and atmosphere.
- Endurance eventsEnergy, variety and storytelling sustained across long event days.
In the moment
Commentary that belongs to the event.

Experience
A calm presence in live environments.
My experience includes more than 300 games across 16 seasons on the microphone at AFC Fylde, hospitality hosting, online radio commentary, mass-participation road races, triathlons and open-water events.
Named events include Run Carlisle Half Marathon, Worcester City Run and Sunderland City Run. At the 2026 European Athletics Championships, my technical knowledge of the road courses supported the commentary team as world-record performances unfolded.
